So how do you do everything "right," become a successful attorney and literally have $45 to your name? Easy - I am an only child. Both my parents died 10 years ago. My husband cheated and we were divorced (he doesn't pay support), I lost 3 jobs in 3 years for restructuring reasons. Any savings disappeared and I was living paycheck to paycheck like a lot of Americans. But I was paying my bills and providing for my children. My company moved to another state making me unable to commute and I now have to find yet another position. With my seniority, it hasn't been easy. I am now almost 2 months with no income other than unemployment. I can't pay anyone with that. My water was shut off, my electricity is next. I still owe both my girls' schools tuition for this year because I thought I would be employed. I am mortified that I am even posting this but I literally have no one to turn to. My house is on the market but hasn't sold and because I own the house, I do not qualify for any assistance. I am hopeful I will get some contract work or another full time position soon but I need funds to cover the following monthly expenses:
