Hello, my name is Fedor and my dream is to build a career in IT.

I came to the U.S. as a student, determined to make my way in this country. I’ve worked hard here, taking on whatever jobs I could find to fund my education. I’ve worked in construction and car sales. I’ve waited on tables and freelanced. Early in my time here in America, I even worked as a Christmas tree seller. One of my customers at the tree lot introduced himself as a web developer, and he recommended that I learn programming language to achieve my dream of becoming a web developer. I wasn't able to fully take his advice at the time. I've always remembered his encouragement though. And I've always appreciated his confidence that programming language was my path to success.
Trying to go it alone, I moved to Los Angeles where IT jobs are also in demand. I started freelancing, drumming up enough work to just keep me above water. Freelancing isn't a long-term solution for me, though, since the work goes away once the project is finished. Throughout my freelancing career, I’ve tried to educate myself about programming language. Unfortunately, the knowledge I’ve gained so far has been haphazard and incomplete. I need one-on-one guidance and an in-person education. Time is no longer on my side, and I need to attend a professional school to be able to find a stable job in the IT field.
The course I have identified as my best option is intense. For the three-month program, I will be required to be at school from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Attendance at all sessions, programs and events is mandatory during this three-month period. In addition to the required in-school 11 hours of daily study six days a week, I will also be expected to study and practice at home too. This doesn’t leave much time for outside projects or even my freelancing jobs, but I know it will be worth it in the long run.
To break down my request:
-$17,780 is the cost of tuition
-$8,060 covers the cost of living expenses while I’m studying since I won't be able to work while I'm pursuing this education
The funding for tuition and living expenses allow me to focus 100 percent on studying core JavaScript code. With focus and successful completion of the program, I could be starting on my new, more stable career path by October 2, 2017.
Thank you for taking the time to read and share this page and donate to my cause.
