We assembled several, simple book editting tools into online workshops where individuals can create heirloom cookbooks of family recipes or restaurateurs can promote themselves with their own "celebrity chef" cookbooks..
But there is tremendous fundraising potential for nonprofits that publish their own cookbooks, especially if they take advantage of no-risk marketing through companies like Amazon, using their print-on-demand services.
Our site (MenuRx.com) is ideal for anyone's use, but some won't have enough time, or confidence, to complete the editting, data entry, photography and other tasks involved in creating an exceptional cookbook. So we have links to third part professionals for each task. Though reasonably priced, those service providers do charge for their efforts.
We will be providing pro bono services to many nonprofits, paying their costs from advertising commissions that we earn from site sponsors. But that funding is limited when compared to the number of agencies that could benefit from an on-going, cookbook fundraiser, especially with the gift giving season that is rapidly approaching.
Every one hundred dollars that we raise will allow us to help one additional nonprofit get their passive fundraiser up and running, providing them with income for as long as they choose.
(If you can't give, please consider donating your efforts in assembling a cookbook for your favorite charity to use for their fundraising.)
