Search by title
Write the title that interests us in quotes and Google will search for documents in which that title is mentioned. Use the "intitle" field without space between the operator and the search term. In this way, we tell the searcher to look for us in the titles of the documents.

Search by author
Put the name in quotes. Replace the proper name with the initials. Use the term "author" followed by ":" without leaving any space between author: and the search term.

For greater precision, it is recommended to combine "author": with the quotes

The search terms we enter will be combined by default with the AND operator.

We can choose to look for information only in Spanish, but we must bear in mind that the majority of scientific information is written in English. GoogleAcademic orders the results by relevance taking into account the presence of our search terms in the full text as well as the place where it was published and the number of times it has been cited.

Searches in Google Scholar with special operators
You can use search operators and other punctuation marks to get more specific search results. Generally, the Google Scholar search ignores punctuation marks, except those you find on this page of search operators .

Let's see some examples:
[ author: flowers ] returns documents written by people with the last name Flowers, while [ flowers -autor: flowers ] returns documents about flowers and ignores those that have been written by people with the last name Flowers (the minus symbol in front of a search term excludes results that contain the term).
