G’day from the other side of the Pacific here in Australia (AU)! My name is Adaira and I am a full-time, non-paid volunteer with YWAM Townsville Medical Ships, based in Northern Queensland. We serve youth and locals in Townsville through training, our YWAM Central Cafe, and our local radio station, 99.9 LiveFM, communicating hope and good news to the city. Furthermore, we connect with communities in the region and deliver free healthcare along the coast of Papua New Guinea (PNG) - check out the attached video for more information! Our vision is to see each individual and area of society thriving throughout Papua New Guinea and Australia.
It has been my joy to serve in AU and PNG for the past three years and I am very grateful for the friends and family that have supported the mission and numerous lives that have been positively impacted. Over the years, I have treasured meeting and befriending people throughout the world and growing with them. Recently, I met a beautiful single mama with a little boy. She had dedicated her life to Jesus and was beginning the journey of healing from past wounds. I was so honored when she asked me to be her friend and walk alongside her as she grew in her relationship with Christ. Unfortunately, it has been challenging to connect with the distance and lack of personal transport.
Soon after meeting my new friend, I felt like God was encouraging me to ask for a car. As I considered this, I realized how having a personal car would broaden my ability to connect and share the personable, boundless love of Jesus. So with this in mind, I ask you to prayerfully consider donating toward the purchase of a vehicle. I am aiming to raise a total of AUD $10,460 for either a Toyota Corolla or a Toyota Yaris with around 150,000 km and from 2010 or newer. The donations would cover the following expenses:
$8500 for a vehicle
$1000 for 12 months of QLD registration
$960 for 12 months of insurance
Many thanks for considering supporting the mission, building connection, and overcoming isolation! If you would like to hear more about what is happening here in AU or PNG, I would love to chat!
Warm regards and God bless,
