After being told that our baby likely would not survive we were devastated. With pulmonary atresia dextrocardia tracheomalacia and situs inversus, we were told his outcome would not be good. Chances were less than 9%. We made a choice in that moment that we were going to give this little life a chance, we were not going to have a medical abortion. We knew that God had a plan for this little one and that his life could be used to bless other people. When he was born he had his first open heart surgery. Noah was in critical condition after that surgery he had full kidney failure and was unable to be extubated. With much prayer and much positive thoughts he was able to pull through. With many people praying for him he pulled through and was able to come home after 3 months. With 10 Nurses at home he lasted until he was 10 months old and which he had another surgery. He is 15 weeks pass the Glenn surgery. He has been a hope to so many people he has been a joy and he has shown people that you can be happy in the worst of circumstances. He has an infectious smile that he is always flashing and he is a happy boy. He has been saved due to modern medicine his cardiologist and his entire Care team made up of nurses pulmonologist and ENT doctors. It is because of other people and their generous donation of blood and cardiologist giving their time to get Noah to where he is today and he is a beacon of light to all those around him. Coming from a 9% chance of making it to being where he is today he is truly a miracle. He has taught the medical field much about miracles as well as none of the doctors expect him to see his first birthday and he is now 15 months old. He is so curious about the world around him that he has seen little of it as he has been confined for most of his life. Any infection could be a great risk to him so this year this summer will be the first time that he has been able to get out in the public and we hope to take him to see the ocean on the Oregon coast. So that he can see more of life and less Hospital in doctors offices. We have use two story to teach other people about blood donation and congenital heart defect awareness. We prayed to get his story out to others so that they may be aware of early detection of CHD. To tell their friends about getting checks early on in pregnancy. We hope to share her story much more and help bring more awareness to congenital heart defects. We’re grateful for your consideration.
