this my #HeartStory for my cousin Owen, who is diagnosed with Heterotaxy Syndrome. My family and I call him either Super O or Our Little Warrior. Owen is one year old and is the strongest person I know. He has been fighting for his life since the day he was born and was in the hospital for the first 4-6 months of his life. He is now living at home but still has to go to Children’s hospital here and there. When O was born he was attached to many Lipids, IV’s, a Nasal Gastic Tube, a nasal cannula, had to take 6 different medicines @ a time and so much more Little O has had 4 surgeries all together! 2 open heart surgeries and 2 stomach surgeries and will get 1 more heart surgery this year. Everybody has been praying for our little warrior since Day 1, that he would make it through this. Owen is now running around his home freely and is healthier than ever!!! This little boy has showered me no matter how big or how small, no matter your age or height, you can be strong, you can do anything and you can get through anything as long as you set your mind to it. Owen may only be 1 year old but he sure is the strongest human being I know and I am so glad to have him in my family. He’s showed me that there may be tough times in life but you will be able to win the fight, no matter how hard it is. I pray so hard for the parents Michelle and Mark because of all this they have been through. it must have been so scary. I bet they never imagined this is how their first child would be and they would go through so much. They are also very strong people that I know. Please keep this of 3 family in your prayers. This is my heart story for my little warrior Owen.
