With the lack of funding in most public schools, often times teachers are forced to reach into their own pockets in order to provide supplies for new or additional lessons in their classrooms. All around the country educators are being forced to do more with less. In fact 91% of Public School Teachers spend their own money to provide classroom supplies to ensure that their students have the best classroom experience.
Parents help with some supplies but often that only covers a small percentage of resources. In some instances, at least 25% of the student population will not be able to afford their own supplies. This leaves teachers stretching every dollar from September until June and still having to use their own paychecks to provide pencils, paper and other necessities to help make their teaching the best.
Are you a teacher who every year takes money out of your pocket to provide your students with the tools necessary for a great learning experience? Or do you know a teacher who has dedicated their lives to make sure your child receives the best education?
