#FundraisingFriday is about featuring a fundraising campaign that is hosted here on Move Your Mountain. We will be highlighting their fundraising efforts and if you feel so inclined, please do share their campaign with your friends. (Because, we think they’re already pretty awesome, that’s why we’re sharing it with you!).
Schools and colleges are starting back all around the country and many people are finding that they just don’t have enough money to attend the schools that they want to. I’d like to introduce you to Candace and her campaign to go to Cambridge. I think her campaign says it best:
Candace is an avid rock climber, mountaineer, instructor, and experienced guide, having traveled to Eastern China for Insight Adventures as Senior Guide and Trip Leader in their International Program. She currently is a Classroom & Technical Assistant at Olympic College where she assists with Planning and instruction of Basic Mountaineering and Basic Rock Climbing courses. She also works full time as the Program Director at Vertical World Indoor Climbing Gym in Seattle, where she developed, launched and manages a new in-house volunteer program, called the
Belay Army.Candace has recently attained Certification from Remote Medical International as a Remote Emergency Medical Technician in Seattle, Washington. She has certifications for NREMT, MPIC, CPR, and AED for BLS healthcare providers, as well as American Heart Association LifeTek TC and AMGA SW Instructor in Lead Climbing
Candace is a great example of someone using her “crowd” to ask for help in achieving her goals. When you explain in detail what you want to go to school for and why, people will WANT to donate to you and WANT you to succeed. Using crowdfunding campaigns for education is such an inspiring goal and your friends and family will want to help you reach it! (Now…don’t be surprised if they also want to see report cards every semester!)
If you have an education goal you’d like to achieve and you don’t have the funds available, it’s FREE and easy to start a crowdfunding campaign at Move Your Mountain.
